Rock Stars
Firefox 1.5 and Mozilla.com just went live.
I expect we’ll find many things that need fixing as we fully migrate the product content for Firefox and Thunderbird from mozilla.org, but I need to give a shout out to the team that just worked their tails off making this launch happen.
So thank you: Steven & Daniel, beltz, cbeard, deb, tristan, pascal, olivier, axel, rebron, john, mitchell, polvi, mscott, schrep, asa, cheryl, ian, karen, mary, todd, judi, alex, elizabeth, morgamic, blake, and the rest of the team here at Mozilla.
You rocked this launch.

Myk too for fixing the l10n downloads!

I think the http://www.mozilla.com/products page is not as greatly designed as the others, it seems it isn’t really the same graphical charter. The firefox logo isn’t the one of Fx1.5, the page hasn’t the pale blue big zone (the same containing Firefox logo & download link on Firefox page)…
Secondly, the mozilla update page seems strange… Why some section titles are formatted text and other are images of text ?
Other than that, I find it a pretty good design job ; the look of the Mozcorp website feels a lot more “pro” and “sliver cool” than the previous Mozorg pages.
Overall, I like the design a lot.
Thanks for the feedback - I definitely encourage everyone to look for things that we still need to fix. We had a lot of people look at the staged site but i’m sure there is more we need to do to make mozilla.com as useful as it can be for new users and returning users.
I like the new MoCo and AMO look (now the devs can set their sights on an improved AMO backend). I noticed one thing: the mozilla.com/products page links to the download page on mozilla.org, which hasn’t been updated with Fx1.5.
You the man, Paul!
Brian: Don’t you have a merger to finish? ;-) Great to see you here.
Rishi: I’ll check out the downloads page on mozilla.org and see what we can do to amend the Firefox link there. Thanks for pointing this out.
Hi Paul,
We will goive some feedback on moz.com via Ian. Kris is hard at work ;o)
