now that’s a bio
David Choe has mad skills and is one of my favorite artists. He pointed on his blog today to a post by Pete Glover, a buddy of his from art school, about the early days.
Great stories on Pete’s blog, and great shoutouts to zine culture and Oakland. David: please resist the impending obligatory New Yorker profile. If they can suck the life out of Banksy, they’ll do it to you too.

Another sign of the times.
Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, on the company’s move into water sports:
Even more important to Patagonia’s success is the thinking behind its contrarian move, as articulated by its founder, Yvon Chouinard: “We’re getting into the surf market because it’s never going to snow again and the waves are going to get bigger and bigger,” he told Fortune magazine.

3 comments350 million reasons
Some time today, the download counter over at Spread Firefox will nudge over 350 million.
There won’t be much fanfare, which speaks to how much momentum there already is behind the growth of Firefox. Most of us involved with Mozilla also recognize that a download count doesn’t directly translate into an equivalent number of active Firefox users. And that a ton of hard work remains to get to long term sustainability.
Still.
As one marker of the continued progress of Mozilla, it sure feels meaningful to me. Congratulations to everyone in the Mozillaverse, for achieving another milestone that probably seemed impossibly far away back in the day.
3 commentsreporting “Firefox” abuse
Daniel Glazman just asked who’s behind www.firefox-pro.com and some spam he received that had a spoofed @firefox.com reply address.
Clearly it’s someone abusing Mozilla Foundation trademarks, including the Firefox logo and brand name in the domain name, and in the spam. Please email trademarks@mozilla.com when you encounter situations like this and we’ll take care of the rest.
