350 million reasons

Some time today, the download counter over at Spread Firefox will nudge over 350 million.

There won’t be much fanfare, which speaks to how much momentum there already is behind the growth of Firefox. Most of us involved with Mozilla also recognize that a download count doesn’t directly translate into an equivalent number of active Firefox users. And that a ton of hard work remains to get to long term sustainability.

Still.

As one marker of the continued progress of Mozilla, it sure feels meaningful to me. Congratulations to everyone in the Mozillaverse, for achieving another milestone that probably seemed impossibly far away back in the day.
